Hi. Crispin Wood here. As a procrastinator of work, and frequent surfer of the Web, I feel it is my duty to alert you to some of the fine, highly entertaining and/or informative sites out there. Because some of these sites are Rock-related, and some are not, there is a breakdown of categories. Please look. Click. Explore. Learn. This page will be updated over time.

In actual fact, there is very little out there in the world of "Rock" that is in any way relevant to the interests of Rock School. Yet I am compelled to provide you with this small list:
Curve of the Earth
This Boston-based label was wise enough to include Rock School's Dumpus All Encompass on one if its compilation CDs. Is your label interested in pressing and distributing Rock School music? Contact Rock School. You too could appear on this list of links!

Brian Dewan
Brian (who did the voice of "The Fan" in the Rock School Lesson "The Importance of Good Fan Relations") is a true Renaissance Man for our age. He is an artist, a painter, a draftsman, a furniture designer/builder, and a composer/performer of unique, powerful music. If you can find one of his CDs, buy it immediately. It will change you forever. Even if you've known him since grade school.

Let there be no doubt: there is a multitude of crappy animations out there on the Web. But there is also some high quality stuff. For those who have not been paying attention, this list will start you on your way.

joecartoon
The King of animation on the Internet, Joe needs no links. Everybody knows. The phrase "Frog in a Blender" is household. His propensity for naked beer drinking is legend. Volumes of rabid fans flock to his site, anxiously awaiting his next animation. The few of you out there who have not yet made the pilgrimage should do so immediately.
Bulbo
Xeth Feinberg's Bulbo has been entertaining connoisseurs of animation for several years now, but it looks like he's been at it for nearly a century. The mini-movies on this site never fail to impress and amaze.

bogbeast

Sure, Fatty is repulsive. Sure, he has a hideously compelling eye. But there is a little Fatty in all of us, and I dare you not to look in fascination as he suffers a childhood flashback involving dodgeball, or as he runs down the road with stolen sausage links, or as he smears your birthday cake onto his nipples...

JibJab

The animations at JibJab exude a neo-expressionist aura. Line, color, and a unique sense of depth merge in a beautiful pastiche of ... (often) ... humiliation. Watch compelling animations about Hoola Boy, Nasty Santa, and our Founding Fathers... live life through the Jib Jab lens.

Whitehouse Animation Inc.
Steve Whitehouse's Mr. Man series features some breathtaking animation work. Anything and everything on this site is worth looking at, but if you haven't seen it, you must check out cub, a finalist in the FlashForward 2001 competition - and this great animation called Kunstbar (made with The Petrie Lounge).

FlashHog
Flashhog.com has a number of engaging animations and activities. Be fooled by the Swami. Concentrate while playing "Mammary Memory". Fry your brain with the Simon-like "Kridders". Visit Chip Hardrive. Buy stuff. Or, write and say "Hi" to Tavis and Bob.

MuseArts Cartoons
Friends MuseArts do many things — Web Development, Content Development, E-Business, Consulting, Web Hosting (including Rock School), and... animation! Check out their Guinea Pig Theater series... work your way through the history of the theater, from ancient tragedies through modern musicals.

Gigglestick
Grampa Grumble inspires feelings of warmth and compassion in all visitors to this site. Who else would be so kind as to challenge you to a fight, and allow you to kick his ass? Take pity on Grampa -- as you finish him off.

Wormworks

I've known Ted Dewan (Brian Dewan's older brother) since the first grade. Ted and his wife Helen live in London, where they both work as children's book authors/illustrators. This site provides all the information you would ever want to know about both of them, and what they do. Make sure to check out Ted's new book Crispin, The Pig Who Had It All.

Roadie.net

While Rock School exists in the "hypothetical" realm, roadie.net exists in the "real" realm. Words don't describe... just go. You can click here to read excerpts from - or order - the book ROADIE A True Story (at least the parts I remember)
